To be honest, I’m not really interested in writing the “great American novel” or even being on the New York Times Bestseller list. What I am interested in is helping people see their lives a little differently, with a little more understanding and compassion.
You see I’ve worked with several teachers over the last few decades, who passed on new perspectives and ways of dealing with issues, and it turned my life around. The intent of my books is to offer those to you, my readers.
When we were going through the first round of editing, my editor wrote in the margin “makes you think as a reader, could I sit down and do something like that with my own fears?” It made my heart sing to see that. Because that is my hope – that in my books you will find something to think about, something that will assist on your journey of self-discovery.
